Fun in the Snow and cookies!

Bridger Porter Clark is here!

Our Early Christmas present

Well everyone,
I'm sure this is old news to most of you.....but our family of 3 has now turned into a family of 4! Our adorable little boy entered the world on December 18, 2009 at 9:10 a.m. Much to say, we are so happy to have him here and the timing was perfect too! My water broke at 4:30 in the morning, and started getting contractions about half an hour later. We called my midwife and she told us to head on down to the hospital when we could. We called up the Relief Society President to come stay at our place while Addie slept. We got to the hospital about 6 a.m and I felt so silly entering the hospital while totally wet! I felt like I had wet my pants, and it kept coming and coming!!
When I was all settled in my gown and bed, they checked how far progressed I was. I was shocked to hear that I was at a 5. I was happy to hear it, but at the same time.....my contractions were getting so close and almost intolerable! So, I had them hurry and get the lab work all done so I could get some kind of pain relief! My midwife suggested that I get the shot rather than the epidural because I was progressing so quickly and she thought I would most likely have the baby within the next two hours. So, I did. Once it kicked in (which is quicker than an epidural), the pain was definitely tolerable! Gotta love drugs! The midwife was right, before I knew it...it was time to start pushing. That was the hard part! Although I only pushed for half an hour, I felt a lot of it and he had a huge melon! The coolest part was that Jake got to help deliver him....he thought that was pretty special!
There is nothing better than a baby being born, he is so special and came directly from our Heavenly Father! He is absolutely perfect!
He came out weighing 8 lbs. 4 oz and 21 inches long!
His name is Bridger Porter Clark

We are all doing well, Addie has adjusted great and is not in the least bit jealous!

Thanksgiving in Oklahoma

Well today is Thanksgiving, and we are one week away from Jake finishing his training here. It has been a Thanksgiving unlike any other! Unfortunately, we weren't able to go anywhere or spend the holiday with any friends or family. With Jake being a federal employee, he only gets federal holidays off--which means he only gets today off! So, we are here! For the first time in my life, I had my first ordered out turkey day dinner! We don't have all the proper kitchenware to cook a nice big feast, so we had a nice hot dinner waiting for us to come pick up at the infamous Cracker Barrel. The Turkey was awesome being juicy and tender! I loved their home made biscuits, I could have just eaten them and would have been content! All in all, it was a good meal--of course nothing compares to a home made meal with the loud laughter that rings through a house full of family! Holidays definitely make me miss family. When it was dark enough, we headed out to the city park where there was a festival of lights! I could not believe how much work and LIGHTS went into their "christmas in the park". I was very impressed! For those of you in Grand Forks, it was about 10 times better and brighter than the Christmas in the Park over in Lincoln park! We are currently lounging around being full and lazy and satisfied! Of course, you also hear football going on in the living room! Sadly enough, tomorrow brings us back to the real world! This time next week, we will be getting ready for our final destination: Helena Montana where Jake will officially start his career as an air traffic controller! Pray that his final review goes well!!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Addie's pumpkin is the little monster, and I thought Jake did a great job carving his mummy peaking out from behind some blinds! What a peeping tom!
Here is a picture of just one of the very weird looking bugs here! At least this one isn't creepy!
On the drive down to Oklahoma, we stopped really quickly at Mt. Rushmore since I had never been there. Very cool!
On our way down, we also took some pictures of the beautiful sunrise as we were heading out of Colstrip Montana. yes, we had snow while we were there!

Does she look happy or what? I'm sure she will be dreaming about Candy all night!! Her new favorite candy is a sucker! They last forever unfortunately and are very sticky, not a mom's favorite!
me and my big belly and Addie!

Let the trick-or-treating begin! We had only been trick-or-treating about 15 minutes when Addie said, "Mommy, I have to go pee pee!" I guess I shouldn't have been too surprised, we just told her to hold it for a while and tried to distract her! It worked, and we were able to stay out for almost an hour! Go Addie, way to have self control!
Jake wanted to take Adeline over to some of his friends'/classmates' place to show Addie off! She was so scared of Kyle--the one in the mask!! Initially, it was just going to be Addie in the picture with Curt and Kyle, but she was shaking uncontrollably out of fear of seeing Kyle so Jake had to come hold her!!

AHHHHHHH! Jake is so not scary!
trying to get Addie to sit still so I can french braid her hair!
She loves her Spongebob. If I had to choose which character she is most like.....I would have to say Patrick!!! Sometimes she just doesn't get things!! Which I'm sure is common in a 2 1/2 year old!

We went to a little carnival at a business where kids can go play. Addie wanted her to draw a spider on her cheek!
She loves to color, and had fun drawing her version of a jack-o-lantern!
Introducing Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. We decided to let her pick out her own costume this year, and she finally picked Dorothy. I thought this a bit odd, she has never seen the movie even! Her other choices were Snow White and Tinkerbell. She got a lot of compliments on how darn cute she looked!
For some reason, Adeline pays the most attention to her papa when he is sleeping and wants to be left alone! What a tease!

We all had our own pumpkin and she wanted us to carve a little bug a boo monster on hers. She didn't want to touch any of it because the guts are soo slimy! She just watched!

Welcome to Yukon Oklahoma!

Hello!
We have been in Oklahoma City area for just over a week now! We have seen nothing but dreary weather since the evening we arrived. I think we brought it down with us, which seems to be a normal thing whenever we travel! Jake began his training here last Friday, and he is in class about 8 1/2 hours 5 days a week with an overload of information that he needs to know! Since the weather has been crummy, Addie and I have kind of been stuck indoors. Imagine how insane I must be going! We have found a library, a community center, and an abundance of parks here thank goodness! Today was the first nice sunny day, hooray! It seems that the only down side of having nice weather is that all the creepy gross little bugs come crawling out of their hiding places! Today I managed to kill two gigantic hairy spiders! I have been told that there are actually tarantulas here, and I am beginning to think that the two big ones were baby tarantulas! Ohhhh, they were creepy and made me scream! Lets not forget the big fat hairy caterpillars that are roaming about! I have never seen caterpillars like this either! Last, but I'm sure not the least--the big moths! They are the size of my hand!!! Wow, It's a surprise every day when I open our front door! What will it be tomorrow! I have been able to get some of these creatures on camera...and will post them soon!

I will miss my crazy Tina! She wants me to name my baby boy after her...Tino! I told her we will call him Tino until he is born!!
The Gerla's had a little fall party at their place, the teens all had a ball!

Ta daaaa! Here I am all huge at 7 months!

We had a stampin' up party and made cute halloween cards and crafts! I loved making this little coffin! I filled it with Candy corn! Now, I need to decide who do I love enough to give it to! I almost want to keep it
It is so fun to get together with the ladies and be crafty!
Young Womens at Dairy Queen

We are enjoying Dairy Queen as part of our young womens Mutual activity! Addie was a frequent visitor of our Wednesday nights! She was just one of the gals!
When I got released, I wanted to make my miamaids a little good bye gift. A friend from church has a vinyl lettering business and cut the cute poem and image and I put them on opposite sides of glass in a picture frame. I thought they turned out so cute
In September, the young women had a sleep over at our president's house and had a blast playing all sorts of crazy games and eating all the crap we wanted! Addie was in heaven!
One game we played was feeding eachother pudding while both are blind folded. You can imagine how that turned out!
My only Pike I ever caught here in ND!

Big news, better late than never

So, as most of you probably know.........Jake finally has a class date for Oklahoma City! Yay! We were given about 3 weeks notice, not enough considering all you have to do! He enters his training in Oklahoma City October 9th and we will be there for 7 weeks! However, before we go there--we have to move out of our apartment here in Grand Forks and move to Helena, MT which is where Jake's job is! He is going to be an air traffic controller (fingers crossed!). So, we are moving in 5 days! Crazy, scary, exciting and everything in between! We are about packed, and hope everything works out!!! Not so fun being pregnant while having to pack and clean!! Life is good!
