Ta Daaa, Behold our very first home!

We decided to buy a house now rather than wait until our contract was up in October because the rates on a home loan are so so cheap right now. We didn't want to wait and have the rates be doubled! So, we started looking the end of January and closed on this lovely thing on April 4. It has just over 2,000 square feet and a beautifully landscaped backyard with a small pond and it's all fenced in. It was move in ready and doesn't require a lot of work, just small things. So, we are here and love having a home!

Our House!

So, here we have owned our house for almost a month now and I am just now posting pictures! Many apologies! Life has been anything but easy going since we closed! A little after a week from closing, I had surgery on my right shoulder and that has made life twice as crazy and stressful! So, here are some pictures at last. Above is a picture of our downstairs family room (the t.v is in front of the couch hiding). We love having a family room where the kids can tear it apart and leave toys every where...because it stays downstairs where guests can't see it!!

Here is my scrap book/sewing room. It's going to be so nice to just have it all there where I can leave out and make my own mess....without it being in our kitchen!
The kids bathroom downstairs. Of course, we will soon be removing the lovely blue flooring and vanity top/sink/faucet and replacing with more modern colors and fixtures!
Bridger's room. Yes, very dull indeed! We will slowly be adding more touches and colors to each and every room! They are currently very plain! We are thinking safari theme...what do you think?
Addie's room. She now has a room that is like triple the size of what she came from! Of course, we will be repainting this hideous color!! I have no clue what they were thinking when they painted it these two awful colors!
My beloved washer and dryer!! The angels sang the day Lowes delivered my babies!! No more saving quarters for the machines!
The sun left a glare here...sorry! This is our upstairs living room....once again so much bigger than our small apartment living room!
Master bedroom. It is much bigger, the camera only shows some of the room.
Upstairs bathroom. Last week we bought a beautiful brushed nickle faucet and this next paycheck we will be replacing the sink and counter top. No more pink!! This bathroom is so spacious, I love having counter space and room to move! Shower is to the right....palm tree themed bathroom is what we have going on, I think I like it.
Our kitchen and half of our dining room. Don't have a ton of cupboard space...however, we do have a huge pantry. Win Win, right?

Bridger Turns 1!!!

Well, I was good for a while there with my postings! I had every intention of sharing Bridger's birthday with pictures, HOWEVER............chance would have it, we lost our camera! We had been searching many moons for our beloved camera, with no avail! So, due to not having a camera...we relied on friends (Thank you Laura and Cassie!) to share theirs! Now that I have some pictures, I will gladly tell you how Bridger enjoyed his first birthday! His birthday was the Saturday before Christmas, but due to Jake's work schedule, we had to celebrate it a couple days early. We invited some friends and had a pizza party at Godfather's Pizza! Yummy food+ great company=a heck of a night! We strictly informed everyone to NOT bring any presents for him, we weren't even going to bring any presents for him to open that night. Of course, we did get the occasional disobedient guest! I couldn't wait for the grand finale of the night.....watching Bridger devour his first ever piece of cake loaded with butter creme frosting! At first he wasn't sure what to do with this big chunk of sugar! After I got him started, there was no going back!! He LOVED his cake!! I no longer have an infant, and it makes me a little sad!!! He began full on walking the day after his birthday, I guess he decided it was time! So, he is walking, grunting, dancing, and all sorts of fun!
